Here’s one of those shots that I don’t believe I’ve ever shared, from within Mike Wolfe’s Antique Archaeology shop in Nashville, Tennessee. I took this last July 2012.

Memories of St. Louis…
Being in St. Louis on the eve of my 28th Birthday this year was a blast. The fact that it was also the 1,000th Episode of WWE’s “RAW” made it even better. We had a hotel (Millennium Hotel, St. Louis) which was less than one mile from where the event was taking place, the Scottrade Center. Even though it was only a mile, it was a challenge as it was AMAZINGLY hot in St. Louis that day. We’re probably talking over 100 degrees. Myself and my girlfriend both got showers before beginning the journey, and by the time we arrived at the arena we were covered in sweat. To make things worse, we had to stand outside in the blistering sun for another 20-30 minutes until we were let into the building.
Nonetheless, I wouldn’t change it for anything. Amazing event, great city, great memories. We originally planned on having a few drinks at the arena, but the $10 price tag for a beer, and $9.25, or whatever it was, price tag for a mixed drink made it so we decided to only have one a piece. It’s a common thing these days, but do arenas/venues really have to charge THAT much? Don’t they make enough off of parking, ticket sales, programs, etc?? What can you do though, still loved St. Louis!!!
Cincinnati. Good City, Rainy Day, Green Slime?
One day of the tour I havn’t got to blog much about… Cincinnati. I enjoyed the hell out of Cincinnati. There were a few cool antique malls, enjoying the cities “Purple People Bridge” was a blast, had a good lunch. But, Cincinnati also proved to be a nightmare of sorts. LOL. We had lawn seats to the Wiz Khalifa & Mac Miller “Under The Influence Tour,” and it ended up raining ALL night long. We’re talking downpours here. The concert was still a blast, and my girlfriend found a $10 bill on the way out to make it even better, but the rain didn’t allow us to snap any photographs. Should have bought a disposable underwater camera!
Cincinnati also brought, what is now known as, “green slime.” Mac Miller has a song/potential disc called “Pink Slime” which is where it originated from. I was dumb enough to slip on some green algae, etc.. on some concrete right beside the Ohio River. Almost fell in the damn river! Busted up my arm, covered in the “slime,” the whole nine yards. Let’s just say Cincinnati ended up not being the best city we traveled to. Well, the worst.
This is honestly just the beginning of what REALLY happened in Cincinnati. LOL. The stories are almost endless. Perhaps another day…
Nonetheless, THANK YOU CINCINNATI for the memories!
Kentucky. Beautiful State. Great Junk.
Now that I am home, and it’s all said and done, Kentucky was by far my favorite state to pick for antiques and junk this past leg of the OUP Photography Tour. Here is a shot I took at a rest stop, which was a really nice rest stop by the way, compared to most. Hopefully I can get back down to pick Kentucky before years end, or early next year.
Thank you Kentucky and people of Kentucky for the memories!
