Inside Antique Archaeology in NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE!!

EDIT_4

Here’s one of those shots that I don’t believe I’ve ever shared, from within Mike Wolfe’s Antique Archaeology shop in Nashville, Tennessee. I took this last July 2012.

2012 OUP Photography Tour BEHIND-THE-SCENES! St. Louis! Nashville! ALL OVER!

Can’t wait to get back on the road soon.  You know, 2013 is right around the corner ;)

Antique Archaeology! Nashville, Tennessee!!!!

During the middle of last week I was able to checkout Mike Wolfe’s, of History Channel’s “American Pickers,” shop in Nashville, Tennessee.  I’ve long wanted to stop by, and this tour finally brought me the chance to do so.  My “day job” and main business venture is being a Picker myself, so this place is right up my alley.  It is really cool what Mike has done in such a short period.  He’s been a Picker his whole life, but just within the last few years has become one of the guys in the forefront of the antique business.  He’s a real role model for not just myself, but many.  Enjoy some photographs I took while at the shop!  Looking forward to checkout his other shop in Iowa one day!

2012 Summer OUP Photography Tour Slowly Comes To An End… Ocean City, Maryland/Dover, Delaware!!!!

Here I am, sitting in my room at Dover Downs Hotel & Casino in Dover, Delaware.  Thinking about the past 10 days that have been.  We’ve been all over.  Chicago, Illinois, St. Louis, Missouri, Cincinnati, Ohio, Nashville, Tennessee, through Kentucky, ALL over the place.  We’ve seen many sights, met tons of people, had ups and downs, and above all else, had fun.  We have so many memories that will stick with us forever.

Yesterday, July 29th, may have ended up being one of the best days of our journey.  We were originally supposed to be spending it, which was also my girlfriend’s 23rd Birthday, in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.  One thing about the road is this… plans change.  Rehoboth was packed this weekend, and we had a problem finding a hotel last minute.  We ended up finding one in Ocean City, which isn’t too far away.  It’s funny, sometimes last minute changes end up becoming an experience which seems like it was meant to happen all along.  We hit a few places for Happy Hour, the second being a place called the Bad Ass Cafe, which is right on the Boardwalk.  Me and my girlfriend each had 4 or 5 drinks there, and a HUGE plate of nachos, and it only came to around $18.  GREAT SERVICE, GREAT food, AMAZING place!

I have tons of stories and photographs which I took on this trip, so you can expect a lot of blogs well after we get back home late tomorrow night.  I am a bit tired from the road, but already looking forward to the next leg of the OUP Photography Tour.  For a while I’ll just enjoy the memories of this journey, but you can expect more travels for sure… THANK YOU SO MUCH for checking out this Blog, I appreciate it!  I’ll leave you guys with some of my favorite photographs of the past day in Maryland & Delaware.  I’ll be checking back with more content later in the week and beyond!
